Darwha was the hometown of Late Shri Laxmanrao Tajne, Petition Writer and Press Reporter of Lokmat, Nagpur Times, Matrubhumi, Shivshakti and so many newspapers at that time, by whose efforts, electricity came to Darwha. Moreover, when Late Shri Laxmanrao Tajne was the President of Akhil Bhartiya Bari Samaj, he was invited by the then Home Minister of India Late Govind Vallabh Pant to Simla for granting reservation of Other Backward Community to Bari Caste and accordingly, with the great efforts and heavy correspondence by Late Shri Laxmanrao Tajne, Bari (Barai) Caste could get reservation of Other Backward Caste. I possess the entire record/correspondence in that regard.
